PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect position of the shoulder of a user by a simple constitution in a massaging machine. SOLUTION: A massaging machine wherein a therapeutic element 26 for massaging the body of a user is freely movably provided along the body is provided and the therapeutic element 26 is provided through a supporting body 25 projecting toward the user side and on the retreated part from the therapeutic element 26 on this supporting body 25, a contact type or non-contact type detector 40 for detecting the shoulder S of the user is set.
