PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a headrest at a predetermined swinging position using a simple construction in a swinging structure of the headrest. SOLUTION: A hollow headrest frame 2 is swingably mounted on a transverse axis 12 connected to the upper part of a longitudinal axis of a headrest pillar 1. A plurality of circumferentially spaced grooves 16, 17 are formed on the axis 12, while a plurality of groove engaging parts 42 for selective engagement with the grooves 16, 17 are provided in the headrest frame 2. The engaging parts 42, for example, are formed on a plate spring 4 which is mounted to the frame 2 so as to be pressed against the axis 12 of the pillar 1.
