PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dental adhesive having high bond strength to a substrate such as an organism hard tissue, especially a natural tooth enamel, dentin, glass ionomer cement, etc., by a simple operation of one step, having excellent fluorine sustained-release function to be expected to have secondary dental caries control, slight water absorption to water in the oral cavity and dimensional change, excellent stability of material and excellent durability of adhesion. SOLUTION: This dental adhesive composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer containing >=5 wt.% of an acid group- containing radically polymerizable monomer, (B) 35-100 pts.wt. of an acid reactive filler such as fluoroaluminosilicate glass, (C) 35-100 pts.wt. of water, (D) 5-100 pts.wt. of a water-soluble organic solvent and (E) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a polymerization catalyst.
