PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope instrument capable of providing a tomogram as well as a normal image and a fluorescent image in good conditions. SOLUTION: A slender and a generally cylindrical part 11a, a flat portion positioned at a distal end of the generally cylindrical part 11a, and a slanted surface 11c positioned between these generally cylindrical part 11a and flat part 11b are formed at the tip of an inserting portion 11 of an endoscope. A light distribution lens 12a of a lighting optical system 12 and an objective lens 13a of an objective optical system 13 are fitted into the slanted surface 11a. Also, a scanning window S is disposed in the flat part 11b, and an OCT scanning part 15 injects a low coherent light beam through the scanning window S for scanning. Because the scanning window S is disposed out of the view of the objective optical system 13, only a subject is stored in the normal image and fluorescent image in good conditions. In addition, in this condition, the low coherent light beam is ejected through the scanning window S so as to provide a scanned image.
