PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer printer which has a simple structure so as to be simply assembled, and which can remove dust sticking to a recording sheet. SOLUTION: A carriage 14 mounted thereon with a thermal head 13 is reciprocated along a platen 11 while an ink ribbon 25a in a ribbon cassette 25 set on the carriage 14 is wound up, and simultaneously, a thermal head 13 is driven. Thus, desired recording by printing is made for a recording sheet fed through a gap between the platen 11 and the thermal head 13. The carriage 14 which is reciprocated in a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the recording sheet is attached thereto with a brush 40 which is made into slide contact with the recording sheet during recording by printing, upstream or downstream of the carriage 14 as viewed in the moving direction of the carriage 14. |
