<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to provide flexible coupling used in exhaust gas system of car engine which is compact in size and can well absorb acting vibration from all directions. SOLUTION: This flexible coupling is connected to the engine exhaust system somewhere half way. In this case, while the exhaust pipe P1 in the upstream of this flexible coupling is connected to the exhaust pipe P2 in the downstream with universal joint 1, bellows 2 are provided at outer circumference of the joint, so that the flexibility of the bellows 2 are made to vary to circumferential direction. As a universal joint 1, hollow cylinder-shaped spherical joint coupling, for example, can be used. Also, a measure to prevent rotation and movement toward circumference can be provided by providing it with concavo-convex coupling as needed.</p> |
