PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a powder treatment equipment and to reduce its cost by subjecting various kinds of the powder and granular materials fed from a feeding port to separation and classification operation to sort the powder and granular materials having the same characteristics and to remove foreign matter by utilizing the various properties, such as their grain sizes and specific gravities, that various kinds of the powder and granular materials possess. SOLUTION: The powder and granular materials fed from the feeding port 2 are transferred in a transverse direction by a screw conveyor 3 and are supplied into a sheave 11. The supplied powder and granular materials are centrifugally agitated by an agitating arm 10 and are separated and classified to those which pass the meshes of the sheave 11 and those which cannot pass the same by the sizes of the grains. The powder and granular materials past the meshes are discharged from a first discharge port 12 to an outer region 16 of a housing 1a. The discharged powder and granular materials are transported from a rotary valve to a downstream side by air transporting pipings 24 and 25. On the other hand, the powder and granular materials which cannot pass the meshes retain in an internal region 15 and are properly discharged to the outside of the housing 1a from a second discharge port 14 by opening and closing a door 13.
