PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a printed board installation area so as to make a carriage smaller at a low cost by fixing a printed board at a predetermined angle with respect to a surface parallel with a board surface provided with a pressure generating means. SOLUTION: A driver IC 71 for printing a driving wave form on a piezoelectric element of an ink-jet head is mounted on a driver IC board (PCB board) 72 as a printed board. In this case, since a sealing part for sealing the driver IC 71 and a connection part in order to protect these parts, and a region for forming a through hole for the PCB board 72 are needed, the driver IC board 72 is larger than the head size. Then, it is fixed in the state tilted by a predetermined angleθwith respect to a surface C parallel with a surface D of a board 3 provided with a piezoelectric element of the ink-jet head H. Thereby, even if the driver IC board 72 is larger than the head H, the installation area of the driver IC board 72 can be smaller so that a carriage can be made smaller.
