PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing type membrane roof device easily executed not only for a newly-constructed stadium but also for an existing stadium. SOLUTION: A plurality of main posts 2, 3 are erected on both sides of a roof membrane stretched area, and a main cable is extended between the opposed main posts 2, 3. A guide rail 9 is extended between the main posts 2, 3, and the guide rail 9 is held by rail cables suspended from the main cable. Roof membranes 13 are stretched between the adjacent guide rails 9, 9, and an opening/closing mechanism for the roof membranes 13 is provided.
