PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sizing agent composition having excellent paper handling properties, printing properties, copying properties, suitable for various printing machines by formulating a specific water-soluble diorganopolysiloxane with a sizing agent in a water system. SOLUTION: This sizing agent composition for printing paper is obtained by formulating 3-40 wt.% of a water-soluble diorganopolysiloxane of the formula [R is H, methyl or ethyl; R1 is a 1-20C monofunctional hydrocarbon; Q is an amino group-containing or quaternary ammonium salt-containing organic group; (m) is >=2; (n) is 0 or >=1 and (m+n) is 2-100] and 3-10 wt.% of a sizing agent such as carboxymethylcellulose, methyl cellulose, a polyvinyl alcohol, or the like, with 94-50 wt.% of water.
