The steel contains specific amounts of silicon, chromium, copper, molybdenum and nickel. A pressurized tank for storing a fluid, especially a liquefied gas, comprises a steel material containing less than 0.2 % carbon, less than 1.7 % manganese, less than 0.035 % phosphorous, less than 0.035 % sulfur, less than 0.02 % nitrogen and less than 0.12 % vanadium. The steel also contains less than 0.85 % silicon, less than 2 % chromium, less than 0.6 % copper, less than 0.8 % molybdenum and less than 2.2 % nickel. An Independent claim is also included for a boat, especially a gas tanker, with one of the pressurized tanks on board. |
