PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the product precision and to simplify the manufacturing process by providing the step of forming a middle core of a synthetic resin on the circumference of a core metal to provide a steering wheel core material and the step of mounting a sheath member on the outside of the middle core. SOLUTION: The middle core 2 is formed on the circumference of the rim part 1a of the core metal 1 to provide the steering wheel core material 3. A sheath member is mounted on the middle core 2 and adhesively integrated thereto to provide a steering wheel. Since the core material 3 having the middle core 2 of the synthetic resin formed on the circumference of the rim part 1a of the core metal 1 is used, and the sheath member is mounted on the middle core 2, the middle core 2 regularly keep a constant outer shape even if the core metal 1 is slightly deflected, and the shape of the core metal 3 is highly precise without dispersion. Accordingly, the mounting of the preliminarily molded sheath member is facilitated and ensured to dispense with the positioning regulation every individual product, and the use quantity of an adhesive to be interposed between the core material 3 and the sheath member can be minimized. |
