PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of inserting built-in members such as an angle coil, light guide, etc., into a flexible tube of an endoscope easily, preventing damage of the built-in members in the inserting work. SOLUTION: A separator 5 with plural groove lines 7 in the longitudinal direction on the outer periphery surface is inserted into a flexible tube 1, and piercing an angle coil from the top end of the flexible tube 1 with the groove lines 7 of the separator 5 as a guide, the separator 5 tentatively fixes the angle coil at the rear end of the flexible tube 1. Then the end of a light guide handle is tentatively fixed to the end of the separator 5, and by pulling the separator 5 out of the rear end side of the flexible tube 1, the light guide handle is inserted into the flexible tube 1.
