A drive mechanism, e.g. for adjusting a vehicle seat, has a lever 24 which is biassed to a central rest position and is movable to either side of the rest position to produce a rotary output in the respective opposite directions. The lever is connected to an output shaft 36 by a transmission 50 and a pair of pawls 61 and 62 engageable with a pawl wheel 64. The pawls are respectively disengaged from the wheel by cam tracks 82 and 83 when the lever is on one side or other of its rest position so that the lever can effect repeated strokes in the same direction. |
