PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for dovetail joint device which can permanently clamp blank materials to each other without using any clamping tool nor adhesive. SOLUTION: A bar 10 and a plate 12 are connected to each other by means of a projection (dovetail tenon) 14 and a groove (dovetail groove) 16. The tenon 14 and groove 16 are extended in such a way that their facing side faces 14c and 16c are inclined against their center lines so that the spaces between the side faces 14c and 16c may become narrower. When the tenon 14 is put in the groove 16 and the bar and plate 10 and 12 are moved relatively to each other in the lengthwise direction, the facing side faces 14c and 16c of the tenon 14 and groove 16 are deeply engaged with each other and the relative movement between the bar 10 and plate 10 is locked.
