A METHOD FOR REVERSE TRANSCRIBING RNA ISOLATED IN DRY FORM

A method for reverse transcribing and RNA target isolated in dry form is described. The method involves isolating nucleic acids from a sample to form a dry composition comprising the target RNA; and contacting the dry composition with a primer that will anneal to said RNA target, four different nucleoside triphosphates, and an enzyme having reverse transcriptase activity, under conditions such that the RNA target is reverse transcribed to form cDNA complementary to the RNA target.
