To ensure reliable operation of thermal pump under conditions of hazard of crystallization in liquid absorbent flow, thermal pump contains facility sensitive to beginning of absorbent crystallization in working fluid or to occurrence of inadmissibly high velocity. Thermal pump is also provided with facility designed to prevent further crystallization and/or to dissolve crystallized solution and to reduce high viscosity.
