PURPOSE: To reduce incurring of a power loss as durability of a variable displacement type compressor is ensured. CONSTITUTION: When an electromagnetic on-off valve 28 on a pressure feed passage 27 is demagnetized, high pressure refrigerant gas in a delivery chamber 3-2 is fed to a crank chamber 2-1 and the inclination angle of a swash plate 14 is transferred from a maximum inclination angle to a minimum inclination angle. A control computer C controls excitation and demagnetization of an electromagnetic clutch 9 and the electromagnetic on-off valve 28. When temperature detected by a temperature sensor 34 exceeds a first set temperature T1 , the electromagnetic clutch 9 is engaged and the electromagnetic on-off valve 28 is closed. When the detecting temperature is between T1 and a second set temperature T2 (<T<1> ), when the electromagnetic clutch 9 is engaged and the electromagnetic on-off valve 28 is opened. When the detecting temperature is below T2 , the electromagnetic clutch 9 is disengaged. |
