PURPOSE: To provide the POS system which informs a user that a bar code is normally read. CONSTITUTION: When the bar code is read by a bar code head means 11 in the POS system, this information is sent to a data discriminating means 13 by a transmission/reception means 12. The data discriminating means 13 discriminates whether data sent from the transmission means is normally read or not; and if it is normally read, an indication is given to a report means 14. The report means 14 informs the user by projecting or oscillation of a projection based on the indication signal from the data discriminating means 13. |
