PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, fast and also exactly recognize a musical score. SOLUTION: This device converts a score into a two-dimensional image data, eliminates staff data and bar line data from the image data and recognizes a note and a symbol. In such cases, a pixel distribution detecting means 32 seeks distribution data in the direction of a vertical axis about the number of pixels that exist in a rectangular area having prescribed width with a note bar as a center in the direction of a horizontal axis to a note of which the position of a note head and a note bar are recognized, and a note tail number detecting means 33 detects the number of note tails based on the length of a vertical axis direction that continuously exceeds a prescribed value about distribution data and performs note recognition by using the number of note tails. |
