PURPOSE:To obtain the color filter formed with a smooth protective layer. CONSTITUTION:The protective layer 5 consisting of a photosensitive acrylic resin formed by adding a multifunctional photopolymerizable acrylate monomer having plural functional groups within one molecule to a photopolymerizable acrylate oligomer, a photosensitive resin formed by adding the multifunctional photopolymerizable acrylate monomer to a mixture composed of the photopolymerizable acrylate oligomer and an epoxy resin and a photosensitive resin formed by adding the multifunctional photopolymerizable acrylate monomer to the photopolymerizable acrylate oligomer in which the acrylate group of a part of the epoxy acrylate is an epoxy group is formed on a colored picture element 3 formed on a color filter substrate 1. The surface of the protective layer 5 is polished by fine polishing particles, such as alumina and is thereby smoothed; thereafter, a transparent conductive film 9 is formed. |
