The invention relates to a device that serves to detachably connect a wiper blade (14) for cleaning windows (24) of, in particular, motor vehicles to a driven wiper arm (12). The device has a first coupling half (32), which is fixed to the wiper arm, and a second coupling half (28), which is fixed to the wiper blade and which is arranged on the upper strip surface (26) of a strip-like longitudinally extended, elastic supporting element (16), said strip surface facing away from the window (24). A wiper strip (20), which can be placed against the window, is located on the other, lower strip surface (18) of the supporting element, this strip surface, however, facing the window, and the wiper blade is provided with two interspaced supporting walls (42), which belong to the second coupling halve (40, 52), are parallel to one another, and which are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the wiper blade. Each end of a pivot pin (48) for a connecting element (52), which is mounted on the pivot pin in a manner that permits it to swing between the supporting walls and which is provided for connecting the wiper arm (12), is held on said supporting walls. The connecting device is especially well-protected against environmental influences such as snow, ice, dust, road dirt, etc. when the wiper arm (12) is U-shaped in the area of its coupling half (32), whereby the U-base (72) covers the protective walls (42), and both U-limbs (70) extend up to the supporting element (16) while covering the outer sides of the protective walls (42). |
