PURPOSE: To obtain a spindle motor with enhanced productivity through remarkable reduction in a count of steps of a finishing operation and improvement in cutting properties at the finishing operation, which requires no cutting oil at the finishing operation and can be cleaned after finished. CONSTITUTION: A rotor frame and a hub 10 supported by bearings 7, 7' to rotate integrally with a driving magnet 4 are formed of a sintered material obtained by baking a mixed metallic powder composed of an aluminum powder as a major component and at least one kind of powders of silicon, copper and magnesium as an additive. Besides the additive, at least one or more kinds of powders of chromium, iron, manganese, zinc and titanium may be added to the aluminum powder. |
