FABRIC FOR THERMALLY TRANSFERRING PRINTING AND ITS PRODUCTION PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric for thermal transfer printing that can impart high sharp image quality of the thermal transfer print, has high fabric flexibility and high durability to industrial washing. SOLUTION: The fabric for thermal transfer printing is mainly constituted with polyester ultrafine fibers of 0.0001-1.1 decitex having the center line average roughness of 1-6 μm and the void volume of 10-60% in one fiber bundle on the cross section of its weft. In addition, this fabric for the thermal transfer printing is produced by subjecting the fabric mainly constituted with polyester ultrafine fibers of 0.0001-1.1 decitex having the center line average roughness of 1-6 μm and the void volume of 10-60% in one fiber bundle on the cross section of the weft to a hot press treatment with a press machine having a flat and smooth surface or with a calendering machine and further to a beat treatment.
