PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive method and a drive apparatus of a piezoelectric actuator, whose overall device size can be made small by the miniaturization of a power supply unit. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric actuator 1, incorporating piezoelectric elements 100A, 100B, 100C that do not allow polarity change of an impressed voltage, the AC voltage of a given frequency is generated from a DC power source. Then, a biasing DC voltage is generated, that is of an amplitude so large that the polarity change of the voltage cases, when it is superposed on the AC voltage. The biasing DC voltage is superposed on the AC voltage, to drive the piezoelectric elements 100A, 100B, 100C. |
