PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a working jig for an optical fiber connector and a method for manufacturing the optical fiber connector wherein the optical fiber is held in the optimal position of a ferrule hole when the thinner diameter part of the optical fiber (bare fiber) is designed so as to come to the end surface of the ferrule in the case that the optical fiber ferrule is worked to manufacture the optical fiber connector. SOLUTION: This working jig is provided with a ferrule fixing groove part 2 for fixing a ferrule 6, an optical fiber fixing groove part 3 for fixing a protruding optical fiber 7 and a bare fiber fixing groove part 4 for fixing a protruding bare fiber 8. Further, individual fixing groove parts 2, 3, 4 are provided so that the ferrule 6, the optical fiber 7 and the bare fiber 8 are aligned on the same axis to form a working jig 5 for an optical fiber connector.
