PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connection joint structure and connection method of a pipe excellent in the workability in a narrow part, which can connect in a short time easily at an execution site. SOLUTION: A first pipe 10 on the outer periphery of which the tip a male screw 11 is formed, a second pipe 20 having an expanded outer diameter step part 21 whose outer diameter is expanded toward the outer surface of its tip and a coupling having a shrunk inner diameter step part 31 whose inner diameter is shrunk and on the inner surface of the first pipe side of which a female screw 32 is formed are provided. In this coupling, its shrunk inner diameter step part 31 is positioned at the rear side of the second pipe 20 than the expanded outer diameter step part 21 and provided rotatably in the peripheral direction on the outer periphery of the end of the second pipe 20 and by the existence of the expanded outer diameter step part 21 and shrunk inner diameter step part 31, the second pipe 20 is prevented from coming off.
