PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an absorption operation against the load from an engine miniaturized and exceeded the shock absorption ability by only an elastic body. SOLUTION: In this starter, a turning plate 35 restricted by a friction plate 39 is engaged turning-stoppingly against an inner teeth gear 26 with a second cylindrical room 29 in the inner teeth gear 26 loaded a planet gear speed reduction mechanism 24. This turning-stopping engagement interposes the elastic body 33 between the turning plate 35 and inner teeth gear 26 and makes an elastic engagement relation by the elastic piece formed on the turning plate 35. Thereby, even if the load absorption ability by the elastic body 33 is limited, by releasing the restriction from the friction plate 39 of the turning plate 35, the absorption function against further big load can be achieved.
