The connecting ring includes couplings (33) parallel to the transverse bulkhead (6) of the supporting structure. The outer end (34) of each coupling is locally anchored on the longitudinal walls of the tank, along the whole intersecting edge of the tank corner. Each coupling crosses and is sealed to the secondary longitudinal flank (32) of the framework. It then crosses the primary longitudinal flank of the framework, such that the internal end of the coupler comes to rest against a primary insulation beam (58), to exert a clamping force on the connecting ring. Preferred features: The framework includes a cross-shaped, prefabricated metal beam. It is constituted by the primary longitudinal flank (43), on both sides of which are welded on its faces plane opposite, respectively the secondary flank and a transverse secondary metal strip (45) which is welded, in its turn, to transverse metal sheet of the secondary sealing barrier (23). The prefabricated cross-shaped beams (42) of reinforcement are assembled successively with each other using a transverse metal strip which overlaps the adjacent edges of the primary longitudinal flanks of the beams with lateral notches on their two opposite sides, near their welding region with the secondary transverse flanks and strips, to allow the overlapping metal strip to pass.
