摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposal method for a phosphoric acid fuel cell and a device for achieving continuous and efficient disposal of a large quantity of phosphoric acid, in which the total phosphorus disposal quantity can be easily reduced in an economic manner. SOLUTION: In a disposal method, when a fuel cell including phosphoric acid used as an electrolyte is disposed, a used member 12 is soaked in water and extracted phosphoric acid is neutralized with calcium hydroxide. Thereafter, completion of neutralization is checked. A disposal device comprises: an extracting tank 11 for containing the used member 12 and phosphoric acid extracting water 13 and extracting phosphoric acid; a transporting pipe 31 for transporting the phosphoric acid extracting water 13 outward of the extracting tank 11; and a neutralizing/precipitating tank 21 for reserving the phosphoric acid extracting water 13 transported by the transporting pipe 31 so as to neutralize and precipitate phosphoric acid contained in phosphoric acid extracting water with a neutralizer composed of calcium hydroxide.
