<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To multiplex SDTI signal by reading the SDTI signal through a memory means as 20-bit word stream data, synthesizing it with an additional word data group containing previously formed 20-bit word synchronizing data and serially transmitting them as 20-bit word stream data. SOLUTION: Switches 12-16 distribute and store the odd-numbered and even- numbered frame periods of SDTI signals DTIS1 to DTIS5 of 5 channels in memory parts 20A, 24A, 20B and 24B. Memory parts 19A and 19B store additional word data groups DEV and DSV constituted by combining 10-bit word data composing of the timing reference code data of an SDTI signal format. Corresponding to a read control signal from a control signal forming part 17, data read out of the memory parts 19A, 19B, 20A to 24A and 20B to 24B are successively alternately coupled through data set parts 25A, 25B and 26 and compound 20-bit word stream data DZ20 are formed.</p> |
