PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler system having no possibility of exhausting carbon dioxide or sulfur oxides. SOLUTION: A boiler main body 11 containing boiler water 12 comprises one or more vacuum chambers 16 which are defined by a heat transfer partition 15. A heating coil 20 as an infrared radiator is disposed in each of the vacuum chambers 16. The main body 11 is provided with a water level meter 23 for measuring the level of a water surface 12a of the boiler water 12 and controlling the supply rate of the boiler water 12. The main body 11 is connected to a steam utilization facility 27, and steam generated in the main body 11 is supplied to the facility 27. After being used in the facility 27, the steam is recovered by a condensing apparatus 28 for condensation and again supplied to the main body 11 as the boiler water 12.
