PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently radiate illuminating light without making an illumination optical system and a light source device larger by providing a middle part with a fiber rod curved by a specified angle. SOLUTION: The illumination mechanism of a stereomicroscope is composed of an illumination optical system, a holding member holding the vicinity of the illuminating light emitting end 105a of a light guide, and the fiber rod 3 curved to be almost L-shape. The rod 3 is arranged between the holding member holding the vicinity of the emitting end 105a of the light guide and a lens barrel 4 holding the illumination optical system, and consists of one columnar optical fiber constituted by covering a core glass having a little larger diameter than the diameter of the fiber bundle 105c of the light guide 105 with clad glass. Then, the rod 3 is formed to have almost L-shape as a whole by curving only the middle part 3b in an arc state by 90 deg. while keeping both ends of the rod 3 linear. |
