PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display element driving circuit and a display device which can reduce costs of design and manufacture by adopting a driving system with a constant current which is suitable for a characteristic of a secular change in luminance of a self-luminous display element. SOLUTION: A display element driving circuit and a display device are driven with a constant current by preparing a plurality of constant current sources which supply electric current, which is needed to drive a segment of a unit luminous area, when a prescribed luminous area is made as the unit luminous area, and by supplying the total of the currents which are outputted from the constant current sources, whose number is obtained by dividing the luminous area of the segment by the unit luminous area, to each segment (segment 22a only in the figure). |
