PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance device having high luminance by applying light diffusing processing to at least one surface in a light guide body for emitting the light from a light emitting surface by receiving the light from a light source, and forming a light source device of a light diffusive plastic material including organic particulates different in a refractive index. SOLUTION: Light incident on the light guide body 12 from a light source 10 is diffused by a light diffusing layer 14 and is reflected by a reflecting film 16 to be emitted from a light emitting surface of the light conductor 12. Nonuniformity of luminance of the emitting light from the light guide body 12 is reduced by placing a light diffusing plate 18 on a light emitting surface of the light guide body 12. In a light source device, the light guide body 12 is formed of a light diffusive plastic material including organic particulates with different refractive index inside. Thus, luminance of the light emitted from the light emitting surface is enhanced further by scattering the light by the included organic particulates even on the inside of the light guide body 12 besides scattering of the light by the light diffusing layer 14 formed on the surface of the light guide body 12. |
