PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an insertion hole and to enhance the strength of a casing by providing an insertion mechanism formed of a rotary dial, a gear train and a roller inserting/extracting a card-type storage medium by a rotary direction transmitted from the gear train. SOLUTION: An insertion hole for inserting a card-type storage medium 19 exists below the casing of portable terminal equipment and a card connector 14 is mounted on a circuit board 13 by turning a card insertion hole 14a to a rubber cover at the back. A dial 11 exists on the lower face of terminal equipment and a window for operating the dial 11 is opened at the lower part of the casing. An operator removes the rubber cover and inserts the card-type storage medium 19 between upper/lower rollers 18a and 18b. When the operator turns the dial 11 in an input direction, gears 16a to 16f rotate and the upper/ lower rockers 18a and 18b turn. The upper/lower rollers 18a and 18b insert the card-type storage medium 19 into the card connector 14. |
