PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet wherein an eddy current generated in the magnet is extremely effectively reduced, heat generation is restrained and sufficient magnetic characteristic can be obtained, and to provide a manufacturing method of the magnet. SOLUTION: This magnet has a laminated structure wherein magnet layers 1 constituted of magnet main phases and grain boundary phases and an insulator containing layer 2 constituted of a magnet main phase, a grain boundary phase and an insulator phase are so alternately laminated in one direction that the magnet layers 1 become both end surfaces. Volume content of the insulator phase in the insulator containing layer 2 is 30-90%, and magnetization direction 3 of the magnet layer 1 is made parallel to the surfaces of the magnet layer 1 and the insulator containing layer 2. |
