PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a coating forming method for a plurality of phosphor application lines or black matrices which are required in a manufacturing process for PDP or liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: A plasma display panel is equipped with a metal plate 20 into a semi-cylindrical shape having substantially a one-dimensional array of micro holes and a roller part 22 to send out paste in tight attachment to the inner wall of the plate from the micro holes by the rotational force, and a motion part moves a coating head in which the plate 20 and roller part 22 are consolidated, wherein the rotating speed of the roller part 22 is made changable, and the paste is applied in stripes on a flat board, while the applied thickness of the paste is controlled.
