PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold cold air by arranging perpendicularly erected board members on both sides of a conveyor capable of cooling transferred objects in the direction of transportation, arranging vertically movable board members which can be lowered at work so as to not to disturb the work and erected vertically otherwise for holding the cold air. SOLUTION: The storage compartment inside a cold container 5 is cooled by operating the compressor of a refrigerating machine and cold is stored in a thermal storage agent simultaneously at indoors with power, and when the cold container 5 is loaded on a delivery truck without the power, the inside of the storage container is cooled by the thermal storage agent. In loading a baggage 1 into the cold container 5, the baggage 1 is transferred from a sorting unit to a temporary storage area 20 through a transferring conveyor. The temporary storage area 20 is provided with a cold air duct extending in the baggage transferring direction arranged at the center inside the temporary storage area 20, a cold air discharging part 27 discharging the cold air upward, and roller units 29 on right and left sides. Vertically movable board members 30 for preventing the leakage of the cold air are provided at the upper of the right and left sidewalls and the board members 30 can be lowered to a lowered position at a cargo handling position.
