PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the work for winding a heat exchanging pipe around a tank by fitting a pipe mat formed by connecting a supply side main pipe and a return side main pipe previously through a plurality of flexible heat exchanging pipes, and an arranging sheet having a plurality of guide grooves. SOLUTION: Supply side and return side main pipes 7, 8 made of resin are connected in parallel through a plurality of flexible heat exchanging pipes 9 made of resin to produce a pipe mat m. A bend 9a divides the heat exchanging pipes 9 into supply side and return side. Guide grooves are made in an arranging sheet 11 at a constant pitch and fitted with the heat exchanging pipes 9. A flexible heat insulating material 12 is provided on the opposite side of the arranging sheet 11 and the main pipes 7, 8 are positioned at one elongated end thereof. The pipe unit A has overall length L substantially equal to the outer circumference of a fermentation tank and width W substantially equal to the height thereof. The pipe unit A is wound around the tank using belts 18, 18 and buckles 19, 19 and then secured in place.
