PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device provided with a function for using the signals of both fields on an interlacing signal in a noise reduction operation by cyclic NR at the time of regular operation and preventing the sense of incompatibility due to cyclic NR when the accumulation time (accumulation sensibility up operation) of a CCD is changed. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with a CCD 1 accumulating an image pickup signal at the long time accumulation of n-times (n is an integer of >=1), a timing control circuit 11 controlling the reading of an image pickup signal during accumulation in accordance with the long time accumulation of n-times, a memory 9 storing/holding the read image pickup signal for not less than one frame period and a cyclic NR circuit 5 executing a noise reduction processing based on the image pickup signal which is read from the CCD 1 and the image pickup signal which is read from the memory 9 and is delayed for not less than one frame period. In the case of the long time accumulation of 2n-times, the image pickup signal from the cyclic NR circuit 5 is written into the memory 9 in a vertical scanning period when the image pickup signal is outputted from the CCD 1. In a vertical scanning period when the image pickup signal is not outputted, the writing of the image pickup signal from the cyclic NR circuit 5 into the memory 9 is inhibited and the image pickup signal is outputted as an output signal.
