<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a digital video receiver monitoring and displaying video images at multiple-points to efficiently cope with a transmission fault. SOLUTION: Normal reception video image selection means 2a-2n detect the presence of the data errors of video data in compliance with the MPEG received via reception means 1a-1n to abort erroneous block data. Fault history recording means 3a-3n record the time when the erroneous block data are aborted. Storage means 4a-4n stores block data of digital video image that is normally received. Video image selection control means 6a-6n select decodable block data in the storage means 4a-4n or substitute video data storage means 5a-5n, on the basis of a setting state of confirmation means 7a-7n. A multiple screen dynamic image image compositing means 8 composites video data at multiple points and gives the composited data to a decoding means 9.</p> |
