PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the limit of the number of a printer for connection, to eliminate the restriction of a layout and to sufficiently exhibit the throughput of a printer by connecting a host to decompressors having a data converting function or the like by LAN and connecting the decompressors to the printers by SCSI. SOLUTION: The first decompressor 21, the second compressor 22 and the third decompressor 23 are respectively connected to the host by LAN. Then SCSI connection is executed between the first decompressor 21 and the first printer 31 and between the first printer 31 and the second printer 32. Besides, SCSI connection is also executed between the third decompressor 22 and the third printer 33, between the third printer 33 and the fourth printer 34 and between the fourth printer 34 and the fifth printer 35. Moreover, the third decompressor 23 is connected to the sixth printer 37 by SCSI. Then the number of decompressors to be connected to the host is set so that the limit of the printer connection possible number is eliminated.
