PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a high quality radiation image without image unevenness and to smoothly carry out the insertion work of a radiological image recording carrier. SOLUTION: This radiographic cassette 10 is equipped with a housing 14, in which a stimulable phosphor sheet 12 is housed, a cover body 16 attached to one part of the housing 14 so as to open and close freely, a light-shielding plate 18 arranged at the remaining part of the housing 14, a lead sheet 20 covering all over the back surface 12b on an opposite side to the radiation irradiated surface 12a of the sheet 12 and having a free end 20a extended to the cover body 16 side and a guide sheet 22, whose one end is fixed on the back surface 16a of the cover body 16 and which is intervened between the sheets 20 and 12.
