PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ring the incoming tone of a mobile phone as the incoming tone of a slave set in a key telephone system. SOLUTION: In this key telephone system, consisting of a slave set having a speaker function and a master set accommodating the slave set and a line wire, the slave set has an incoming melody input terminal 42 and a data input output terminal 42. The master set detects a signal to call a specific slave set to call the slave set. When a call signal detection means of the slave set 3 detects a call signal, the slave set sends a ring signal request to the mobile phone connected to the slave set and a tone ringer 41 receives incoming tone data sent from the mobile phone and causes a loudspeaker SP to sound the incoming tone.
