PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency of an ignition furnace burner, prevent deformation of the burner, obtain a stable flame and improve stability and yield of operation by disposing a water cooled jacket in contact with an iron shell of a mixing portion. SOLUTION: Fuel gas and combustion air supplied from a fuel gas header 6 and a combustion air header 5, respectively, are directed to a mixing portion through a fuel gas channel 14 and a combustion air channel 15 so as to be mixed in the mixing portion 7. The mixing portion 7 is exposed to high temperature resulting from the combustion of the mixed gas, and therefore a box type water cooled jacket 10 is disposed, in order to prevent deformation, along the entire length in the horizontal direction of the ignition furnace so as to be in contact with an iron shell 16 of the mixing portion 7. Cooling water 17 in the water cooled jacket 10 is forcibly circulated by means of a pump or the like. As a result, the iron surface 16 of the mixing portion 7 is cooled being in contact with the cooled water 17 in the water cooled jacket 10, and further, cooling efficiency is improved by the circulation of the cooling water 17 and deformation by heat can be prevented. |
