PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture reader capable of efficiently synthesizing pictures by excluding the disturbance of an image form and the waste of a picture memory in a conventional picture reader. SOLUTION: A picture reader is provided with a picture inputting means 101 for inputting a picture, a position detecting means 102 for detecting a position from the movement of the means 101, an image range designating means 103 for designating the reading range of the picture by first scanning of the means 101, and a designated range judging means 104 for judging whether a picture in the middle of reading after the second scanning is within the range designated by the means 103. |
