PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device which surely prevents unauthorized copying. SOLUTION: An electronic watermark detecting circuit 11 detects an electronic watermark that is inserted into input signals. When the circuit 11 detects an electronic watermark, which prohibits making of a duplicate, a recording control circuit 13 stops a recording and controls a recording circuit 12 and a recording drive 15 so that recording to a DVD3 is prohibited for a beforehand set time. |
