<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser machining device which is capable of stopping irradiating a work with a laser beam without providing a large and expensive shutter mechanism, and keeping a laser beam unchanged in output power even if the device stops irradiating the work with a laser beam. SOLUTION: A laser beam emitted from a laser ray source 1 is made to impinge on a wavelength conversion element (non-linear optical crystal) 3 to generate a harmonic laser beam, and the harmonic laser beam is made to intermittently irradiate a work 8 to carry out a removing operation such as boring or marking. A galvano mirror 5 is provided at a laser projection side so as to move the irradiation point of a laser beam, and a light shielding plate 9 is provided outside a processing region on a laser projection side. When the work 8 is processed, the galvano mirror 5 is controlled so as to irradiate the work 8 with a laser beam, and, when the work 8 is not processed, the galvano mirror 5 is controlled so as to irradiate a laser beam toward the light shielding plate 9.</p> |
