PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a failure coping system capable of informing computer terminals connected through a network with the equipment of the cause of any failure generated in each kind of equipment of a computer system or the contents of a memory in which any failure is generated, and for allowing the computer terminals to execute a restoring operation for resuming the interrupted processing of the equipment. SOLUTION: Equipment connected with the network of a computer system is provided with a failure managing part 12 for detecting information related with failure generated in the equipment and for executing control for coping with the failure. The failure managing part 12 is provided with a function for executing an operation instruction against the failure of the equipment and for preventing the failure. In this case, the user of a computer terminal performs an operation for obtaining the failure information of the equipment by displaying HTML data as a Web page by a Web browser and for preventing the failure of the equipment by operating an object in the Web page.
